Vehicles have been brought to a standstill along London Road in Brighton
MOTORISTS have been stuck in heavy traffic along the A23 due to continuing roadworks.
Temporary traffic signals are in place due to construction work at the A23 Patcham By-Pass at Old London Road, causing significant delays to people travelling to and from Brighton.
According to The AA, delays are stretching as far as Preston Park.
Bus services have also been affected by the roadworks, with the 5 and 5A bus routes towards Patcham being diverted due to the gridlock.
5A services are terminating and restarting at the Ladies Mile Pub, while 5 services are following the 5B route.
The routes’ service towards Hangleton is unaffected.
