A JURY has failed to reach a verdict in the trial of a former police community support officer accused of rape.
Former Sussex PCSO Jamal "Bertie" Robinson, 29, was on trial accused of rape and sexual assault on a teenager in December 2019.
Mr Robinson, of Hove, denied raping the woman, now 21, after meeting her in a Brighton nightclub.
The 11 jurors were discharged after Lewes Crown Court heard they could not reach a verdict.
A retrial will begin in September this year.
