A MAN was saved from the sea after jumping off Brighton Palace Pier.
A large police presence could be seen near the pier in Madeira Drive, Brighton on Friday evening.
The man jumped into the sea and had to be retrieved before being attended to by ambulance crews.
Sussex Police responded to the incident at around 4.50pm.
A Sussex Police spokesman said: “Police received a report that a man had jumped into the sea from the Palace Pier in Brighton, at around 4.50pm on Friday, June 17.
“The man was retrieved from the water and attended to by paramedics.”
