POLICE are continuing to investigate after a man was stabbed with a screwdriver.
Officers were called to the incident in North Place, Brighton, at 10.30pm on Tuesday, June 14.
A 33-year-old man was found with a leg wound at the scene.
He was taken to hospital for treatment, where he remains at this stage, police said.
Witnesses claim the man was stabbed with a “screwdriver and glass”.
A local resident who claims the man was stabbed outside her house said it is “so sad that this is happening in Brighton”.
“His girlfriend was so upset, thinking he was going to die,” she said.
She added that a screwdriver was found "outside my window" by police.
The road was cordoned off by police following the incident.
Enquiries are ongoing.
A Sussex Police spokesman said: “Police received a report of a stabbing in North Place, Brighton, about 10.30pm on Tuesday, June 14.
“Officers responded to the scene, and a 33-year-old man was found with a leg wound.
“He was taken to hospital for treatment, where he remains at this stage.
“Enquiries are ongoing, and anyone with any information is urged to report it online or call 101, quoting serial 1557 of 14/06.”
