FAMILIES can now jump on a bus to one of Sussex’s zoos after a popular route returned for the summer.
The 11X route by Brighton and Hove Buses between Brighton and Eastbourne stops at Drusillas Park near Alfriston, as well as Charleston Farm House, Middle Farm and other attractions.
The service operates every Sunday and public holiday, leaving from Brighton at 9am, 12.20pm and 3.45pm, and from Eastbourne at 10.40am, 2pm and 5.25pm.
Up to five people, with a minimum of one adult and a maximum of two adults, can travel together for just £9 along the route with a family ticket which can be bought through the Brighton and Hove Buses’ app.
The route departs from Brighton Station and Eastbourne Pier, making stops in Rottingdean, Saltdean, Newhaven and Polegate.
The service was launched in 2019 after feedback from bus passengers and drivers.
