A BRANCH of Subway has closed after its lease came to an end.
The sandwich restaurant in Fenchurch Walk, near Brighton Station, has had its branding removed and windows covered with brown paper after shutting its doors for the last time.
A sign apologised to customers and said: “We are sorry to inform you that due to the lease coming to an end this location is now closed.”
Subway now has 12 locations in the city, with branches in Old Steine, North Street and London Road.
Since opening its first branch in the UK in Brighton in 1996, the sandwich restaurant now has more than 2,000 stores across the country.
Subway has been approached for comment.
