POLICE are at the scene of an incident involving an “unexploded ordnance”.
Officers were called to Wilberforce Way in Southwater, Horsham, at about 12.30pm on Thursday, June 9.
Horsham Police said they are currently dealing with the incident.
“We are currently dealing with possible unexploded ordnance in Wilberforce Way, Southwater,” a police spokesman said.
“There may be some disruption, but we aim to keep it brief.”
Photographs show a number of police vehicles at the scene and a cordon set up by officers.
On Wednesday, a man was arrested after a bomb squad was called over a “suspicious package” in Worthing.
At a property in Tarring Road, officers were called following concerns about a suspicious package that was found.
The Explosive Ordnance Disposal Team were called to the scene and safely destroyed the package.
A 52-year-old man has been subsequently arrested on suspicion of possession of a firearm.
He remains in custody at this time.
