THE sister of a Love Island contestant says she “can't believe how well he’s taken to it” so far.
Luca Bish, from Brighton, entered the villa on Monday night for the return of the reality show’s eighth season.
The 23-year-old fishmonger, said he is ready for a “genuine” relationship after breaking up with his girlfriend of four years.
Luca’s sister, Claudia, told The Argus: “It’s such early days, I can’t believe how well he’s taken to it, he does seem really natural - I don’t know if that’s me being biased.
“That hour every evening is honestly such a rollercoaster, but he looks really happy, which is all I can hope for, really.”
Claudia is running Luca’s social media throughout his time in the villa, she said: “Me and Luca are so close, we’re like best friends, which is so nice, so I think he trusts me to do it.
“He’s had such lovely messages, it’s all been really positive on there which is really nice but I hope it stays that way.
Claudia says that she can see her brother “going far” in the reality show.
She said: “I really hope that he just finds his person and continues to be funny and real.
"I think he’s coming across quite transparent, so as long as he stays true to himself I can see him going far.
“The really positive thing is, he went into the show with no expectations, so for example if he left today - he enjoys being a fishmonger anyway.”
Luca is currently coupled up with Paige from Wales after the public matched them on the first day, Claudia says she is happy with the coupling so far.
She said: “It’s still such early days, I feel like it’s not long enough to gauge but she seems so lovely, she’s definitely the type of girl that if he wasn’t coupled up with her, we’d be routing at home for them to be together. She seems really nice.”
Claudia and her family are watching the show every evening, she said: “We’re all supporting him and he is hilarious, he has such a kind heart, so no matter what happens we know he is a diamond.”
