A FOOTBALL community can breathe a sigh of relief as it bags a secure storage space, after its previous one was deemed unsafe.
The 11 teams that make up Lancing FC Youth were delighted as the new unit was delivered, as they now have a safe and waterproof area to store goals, kit, and equipment.
145 players will benefit from the new container in Monks Recreation Ground, a community bound by football, with Brighton and Hove Albion’s training ground located nearby.
It was donated by Cala Homes, whose New Monks Park development is just 200 yards away.
Paul Ellis, vice chairman at Lancing FC Youth, said: “We want to give a big thank you to Cala for supplying us with a fully refurbished security storage unit.
“It will help support each player by ensuring the entire team has access to quality kit and equipment for years to come.”
Cala donated the unit after it was contacted by the club for help.
Lauren Ryan, marketing manager at Cala said: “It’s important we give back to the communities in which we are building and that children of all ages are given the opportunity to exercise and participate in sports.”
