THE meaning behind a Love Island star’s tattoo has been revealed.
Luca Bish, a fishmonger from Rottingdean, entered the villa and has coupled up Paige Thorne from Swansea.
Since the first episode of the ITV2 dating show aired on Sunday, fans have been left questioning the meaning behind one of Luca’s tattoos.
The 23-year-old has the year ‘1995’ prominently inked on his torso, despite it not being the year he was born in.
Puzzled viewers were quick to take to social media to question it, with one fan saying: "Why does Luca have 1995 tattooed on him if he's 23? The math isn’t mathing.”
Another joked: "A 23 year old with 1995 tattooed on his belly can only mean one thing - most hardcore fake ID of all time."
However, Luca’s sister cleared up the queries during a Q&A on his account.
"Keep getting these messages so let's clear this up,” she said.
"He does in fact know when he was born - it's for his sister's year of birth.”
Viewers have also spotted a striking resemblance between Luca’s tattoos and that of former One Direction star Harry Styles.
Luca has several tattoos across his torso and chest - including a butterfly, a pair of feathers and a rose.
Meanwhile, Harry has a about 60 tattoos, including a large butterfly on his torso.
Before entering the villa, Luca said he applied for the show after coming out of a four-year relationship.
“When you look actually look back at Love Island, you can see how many couples it’s genuinely made. I don’t know how many kids Love Island has made but there are a few aren’t there?” he said.
“I was enjoying being in a relationship, there were just things I didn’t like, and we drifted apart.
“I prefer to meet girls out and about. I think when you go looking for it, it’s not as easy though, it’s like you’re too desperate for it.
“If I think you’re the one or I like you, I’ll take you out on a date but other than that, if we talk and I don’t like where it’s going - then I won’t be throwing out dates.”
