THE Red Arrows were forced to cancel their flyover of Sussex as part of the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee celebrations.
The Royal Air Force aerobatic display team were due to take off from Exeter Airport at 4.19pm on Sunday, June 5, before making their way south.
The planes were supposed to be visible above Sussex for a ten minute period between 4.36pm and 4.46pm.
"Sadly, the poor weather across large parts of England has forced the cancellation of all of our remaining planned flypasts," a Red Arrows spokesman said.
The aircraft were due to fly over areas including Southampton and Fareham before entering West Sussex at West Marden.
The team were then to fly in a north east direction towards West Grinstead, passing Chilgrove, Graffham and the Knepp Estate.
From here, the Red Arrows were to fly over Cowfold and between Haywards Heath and Burgess Hill before changing direction at Uckfield.
The planes would then have been visible above Buxted, Mayfield and Wadhurst as they travelled towards the Kent border.
As part of the fly over, the planes were due to be visible above Buckingham Palace in London.
The Red Arrows will be on display again in Sussex during the three-day Goodwood Festival of Speed from June 23 to 26.
They are also due to perform in Eastbourne in August this year.
