PLUMES of black smoke could be seen after a bin caught fire on the seafront last night.
The fire happened around 7pm yesterday on Hove seafront near Langdale Gardens.
The bin was left charred and the front partially melted from the incident.
East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service (ESFRS) could not confirm what caused the bin fire.
The service sent one fire engine to put it out.
A spokeswoman for ESFRS said: “We were called to Langdale Gardens at 7.10pm.
"One pump from Hove went to the scene.
“There wasn’t much damage.”
