AN AWARD-WINNING comedian is back in town for the Brighton Fringe festival.
With more than 700 shows and events, festivalgoers are spoilt for choice with cabaret, circus, dance, drama and drag shows.
Among the events being held today, Wednesday, June 1, are:
Eleanor Conway: Talk Dirty To Me
Following her first US tour, the award-winning stand-up Eleanor Conway is back with a high-energy show.
The set will explore topics of sex, addiction and dating and will take place at The Walrus in Ship Street, Brighton.
Ghost Walk of The Lanes
The activity is an undemanding 80-minute tour of Brighton's oldest and most haunted quarter, visiting eight locations.
All the stories are long-established accounts of hauntings in and around The Lanes, alongside historical facts and peppered with comic respite.
Tickets range from £8 to £12.
Dave Fensome: Dog Eat Dog
After his sell-out run last year with his debut show ADHDave, local comedian Dave Fensome returns to Caroline of Brunswick in Hove with his latest work Dog Eat Dog.
The stand-up uses his uniquely dark comic mind, exploring topics of culture, class and forgiveness.
A Not So Silent Disco Tour - Brighton Dance Extravaganza
Brighton Dance Extravaganza hosts a one-hour dance around town, with several events each day.
“This tour is for everyone, from babies to those seeking a bit of adventure and are young at heart,” organisers said.
Ticket prices range from £15 to £20.
On The Edge Best of the Fest
Held at The Walrus in Ship Street, Brighton, the show aims to bring fresh faces from the UK circuit to audiences all year round.
In previous years, the show has featured the likes of Joe Wilkinson, Angela Barnes, Maisie Adam, Mark Simmons and Esther Manito.
