THERE are several events happening across the city for Brighton Festival as it heads into its final day.
Here are a few of the best interactive, arts and music shows:
Summer Commission: Jade Montserrat at Brighton CCA, University of Sussex
Jade Montserrat has been commissioned to undertake the 2022 Summer Commission at Brighton CCA Gallery.
The commission, focusing on Montserrat’s articulation of black histories; bodies and narratives, will consist of six new works spanning the 45 metre façade of the galleries in the centre of Brighton.
This will be the artist’s first major public art commission in the UK.
Unchain Me by dreamthinkspeak
The world premiere of Unchain Me, a major new site-specific Brighton Festival commission from the critically acclaimed dreamthinkspeak, directed by the company’s Artistic Director, Tristan Sharps, will now be extended until Sunday, June 12.
Unchain Me will weave its way through the streets and buildings of central Brighton, permeating well-known public spaces and into previously hidden corridors and tunnels.
Using headphones and a mobile device, a specially-designed app will allow audiences to navigate their way through the production and interact with each other and live performers.
Tuesday, May 31 at 7pm.
Tickets cost £30.
There are ten different meeting points where you start the performance.
