POLICE have increased patrols in antisocial behaviour hot spots in a number of towns.
Officers from Arun Police stepped up their presence in Bognor, Angmering and Barnham following reports of antisocial behaviour.
Police said foot patrols of Bognor included the town centre and areas such as the train station and railway network, Fitzleet House, the Picturedrome Cinema and Belmont Street.
“Foot patrols are regularly completed, providing a visible presence in our town and enabling us to engage regarding concerns raised by local businesses and members of the community,” a police spokesman said.
“When you see us on patrol please come and say hello and speak with us about any concerns you may have.”
Earlier this week, police increased night patrols in Pulborough after a spate of vehicles being damaged.
A Horsham Police spokesman said: ““It has come to our attention that there may be some incidents that have not been reported to us.
“We encourage the public to report such incidents via 101 or the Sussex Police website. For emergencies use 999.
“Reports help to direct our patrols, ensuring we target areas at the best time to catch offenders and deter crime.”
Last week, police increased patrols near Barnham and Angmering train stations amid ongoing antisocial behaviour.
“Some of our team conducted mobile and foot patrols to try and identify those responsible. Happy to report that all was in order. Patrols will continue over the coming days,” a police spokesman said.
Police also conducted patrols in a residential area in Bognor following reports of suspicious activity, as well as stepping up their presence in and around Longford Road after reports of a man cold calling at properties.
