I AM FROM Brighton, having been born at the General Hospital on the famous Racehill at Elm Grove.

Dear oh dear, come on Brighton City Council, please please pull your socks up.

First of all take care of this awful graffiti problem, then take care of the seafront such as the Madeira Terrace, which is slowly and steadily crumbling away.

It's really sad to see something so beautiful waste away.

Come on, do something to restore them back to their former glory.

The i360 is nothing in comparison to the old architecture of Brighton and the tower has lost money and is owing millions to the city for being there on the West Pier site. It is embarrassing!

Good for a private enterprise and business taking on the restoration of the Hippodrome in Middle Street.

Now let's see some more good improvements such as at Dukes Mound and its new beach walk and wooden fencing and benches to sit on - thank goodness for that.

Madeira Terrace, like Brighton Railway Station, was a beautiful thing. With the electric Victorian lamps along the arches and lead-roofed shelters to sit in below Marine Parade it must have been lovely to be there during any time of the day and into the summer evenings. Simply glorious.

Let's see some meaningful and better changes to our once beautiful city.
