A ROAD is blocked after a person was knocked down by a hearse this morning.

The incident happened around 11.30am at the mini roundabout which connects Goldstone Villas and Clarendon Villas in Hove.

A passerby said the empty hearse had “knocked someone down” at the roundabout.

Another passerby said a person on the floor “wasn’t moving” and it “looked serious”.

The ambulance service, as well as police, are in attendance.

Goldstone Villas is currently blocked while emergency crews attend.

The cyclist has been taken to hospital.
