â„ą Our Network Rail colleagues have discovered a defect in a set of points - movable sections of the track - which needs repairing.
A spokesman said: “To minimise disruption to journeys, this is taking place overnight, when a limited train service will run.
“From approximately 10pm on Saturday night until 9am on Sunday morning, Southern and Thameslink trains to and from Brighton will be amended.”
Trains will not call at the following stations:
- Wivelsfield
- Burgess HillÂ
- Hassocks
- Preston Park
The first train affected by this will be the 10.17pm Thameslink service from Bedford to Brighton, which will call at Haywards Heath for 12.37am on Sunday morning.Â
After 12.37am, buses will replace trains between Haywards Heath and Brighton.
Most trains will run non-stop between Brighton and Haywards Heath via Lewes.
