A GIN and sparkling wine festival is returning to Sussex for the summer, with the promise of samples from some of the county’s most-loved producers.
Visitors to the Sussex Gin and Fizz Festival in Lewes will be able to try and buy from 16 gin and sparkling wine producers from across Sussex, as well as have the chance to buy vineyard and distillery experiences.
The afternoon’s evening session from 1pm to 5pm will feature live music, DJs, a host of local food stalls, and a programme of talks by English wine and spirits industry insiders.
An over-18s session, from 6pm to 10pm, will crank the music up in the beautiful surroundings of Southover Grange’s walled garden.
Councillor Chris Collier, Lewes District Council cabinet member for performance and people, said: “I’m delighted that the Gin and Fizz Festival is returning to Lewes this year.
“It’s become something of an institution since the first festival in 2017, and is a great event not just for visitors, but an opportunity for many of our wonderful local businesses to showcase their world-class wines and gins.”
Tickets to the event at Southover Grange Gardens on June 11 are available from Lewes and Seaford Ginformation Centres and onlineticketseller.com, with customers advised to book early due to strictly limited numbers.
