A SECONDARY school has announced that a new permanent principal has been appointed.
Brighton Aldridge Community Academy (Baca) has appointed Mr Jack Davies as its new permanent principal, following a robust recruitment process.
Taking up the position from July 1, Mr Davies joins the academy from his current role as senior deputy headteacher at City Heights Academy in South West London, and as regional lead for behaviour for the South of England with the E-ACT academy trust.
To ensure a smooth transition and immediate positive impact, over the coming weeks Mr Davies will work closely with the academy’s current interim executive principal Stephanie Newman.
Mr Davies said: “I am delighted to have been appointed as the permanent principal for Baca, as part of this new chapter in the academy’s journey.
“Baca is a special school, with a very strong community spirit and I am really looking forward to working closely with students, parents and the wider school community, alongside my Baca colleagues, the Trust and the local governing committee.
“I know we all share the highest expectations and aspirations for both the direction of the academy going forward, and the outcomes of every child that it supports, and so I will be working in collaboration with the whole Baca community as we actively work towards fulfilling this.”
