British Transport Police officers from the Ops Support Unit at Gatwick Airport
A WANTED person has been arrested upon arrival at an airport.
The person was arrested upon entering the country via Gatwick Airport on Wednesday, April 27.
British Transport Police officers from the Ops Support Unit were assisted by Gatwick Police.
A police spokesman said: “British Transport Police Ops Support Unit officers conducted an arrest for a wanted person entering the country via Gatwick Airport.
“One person was arrested for numerous offences. Custody space for one has been booked.”
In February, a man was arrested for assault after an altercation at Gatwick Airport.
Police were to the incident at 1am on February 15, following reports of an altercation.
A man was subsequently arrested for common assault.
