Trains are delayed at Gatwick Airport due to a signalling fault
TRAINS are delayed at an airport due to a signalling fault.
Platform seven at Gatwick Airport railway station is currently closed due to a fault with the signalling system.
As a result, trains in the area are being delayed by up to ten minutes.
A Southern Rail spokesman said: “We're seeing delays at Gatwick Airport due to a fault with the signalling system.
“This is preventing us from using Platform 7, meaning some trains may wait outside the station for lines to become available.
“Please continue to use your normal route.”
The spokesman said delays of up to ten minutes are expected in the Gatwick area.
“You should allow extra time for travel, especially if you are relying on connections at this station,” he added.
