A NEW pizza ATM that cooks food in just four minutes has opened.
The Pizza Rebellion machine is open 24/7 outside Brighton station, with hungry customers able to order a “restaurant quality” pizza without interacting with a single person.
The unmanned service features a robotic arm inside which takes pizzas from a refrigerated compartment and blasts it into a jet oven before serving them piping hot.
Pizzas available through the service include a cheesy garlic pizza bread, “The Notorious P.I.G.” and a vegan option from £6.50.
Co-founder William Jack said the pizzas served “pull away from everything else that’s out there and making something that is really fun and vibrant whilst also using really good ingredients”.
He said: “We make the pizzas, and we cook them 70 per cent and add the toppings. We pop the pizza into a box and it goes into a refrigerated compartment.
“It can sit there for 72 hours and you can order via an interactive screen.
“It’s a huge convenience. It’s 24/7 and it’s unmanned.”
The machine is the fourth to open in the UK, with two in Chichester and one in Bognor.
