A MAN has been arrested on suspicion​ of a series of thefts and damage to vehicle wing mirrors.

Several reports were made to police about the incidents, which happened in Bognor between March 26 and 29.

Since then, a 42-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of theft from a motor vehicle.

He has been interviewed by police and released under investigation while enquiries continue.

An Arun Police spokesman said the investigation is being progressed by Police Constable Towers of the Arun and Chichester neighbourhood policing team.

“We'd like to thank all the members of the public who have assisted us so far,” he said.

Following the reports, police stepped up their patrols in the Bognor area.
