A SURVEY has been released to establish how safe the public feel.
The Sussex Police and Crime Commissioner has released the survey amid an influx of funding to reduce crime in public areas.
The Home Office recently launched the latest Safer Streets funding opportunity, which Police and Crime Commissioners and Local Authorities are eligible to bid into.

Approximately £75 million of funding is being made available for interventions aimed at reducing neighbourhood crime including domestic burglary, robbery, theft from person and vehicle crime, as well as reducing Anti-Social Behaviour.
The investment will also aim to reduce violence against women and girls in public spaces, including the night-time economy and increase overall feelings of safety in public places.
Sussex Police and Crime Commissioner Katy Bourne has issued a survey to seek the views of the public.
“I’ve been successful in previous rounds with over £2 million being awarded to us in Sussex but I need your help again,” she said.
“I want to hear your views on how safe you feel, what you think the priorities should be and what solutions could help tackle these types of crimes. It’s important that the priorities of our communities are fully reflected in the bid for the Safer Streets funding.”
For those interested, the survey is available on the Sussex Police and Crime Commissioner website.
The survey will close on Friday, April 29.
