A MAN has been arrested on suspicion of drug-driving after a three-vehicle crash this morning.
The crash happened just before 12pm on the A272 at Cowfold, near Horsham, with police closing the road for around two hours.
Police confirmed there were only minor injuries following the pile-up, but said a 52-year-old man from Worthing had been arrested on suspicion of drug driving.
He has been released under investigation, pending further enquiries.
A Sussex Police spokesman said: “Police and the ambulance service attended a collision between three vehicles on the A272 at Cowfold shortly before midday on April 11.
“Report of minor injuries only. A temporary road closure was in place.
“A 52-year-old man from Worthing was arrested on suspicion of drug-driving and has been released under investigation, pending further enquiries.”
The incident comes just two weeks after another three-vehicle crash which killed two people, an 83-year-old man and 30-year-old woman, on the same stretch of road.
The incident on March 28 also left two women, both 23, with serious injuries.
