A 19-YEAR-OLD was arrested following a foot chase with police officers.
Brighton and Hove Police commended their “strong runners” after the man fled police on Wednesday, March 30.
A man, aged 19, was subsequently arrested on suspicion of sending offensive and menacing messages.
A Brighton and Hove Police spokesman said: “It’s lucky that we have some strong runners amongst our team here in Brighton and Hove.
“A man, aged 19 from Brighton, was arrested on suspicion of sending offensive and menacing messages, following a foot pursuit on March 30.
“The man is well known to police, so our officers were not letting him give them the slip this time.”
The man has since been released on conditional bail while the investigation continues.
