A MAN has been found dead after falling from a cliff.
Emergency services were called to the cliffs in Eastbourne, near Belle Tout Lighthouse, on Saturday, April 2.
Police said a man was seen to fall from the cliffs by a member of the public at about 5.50pm.
He was confirmed dead at the scene.
“There are no suspicious circumstances,” a police spokesman said.
The RNLI Eastbourne said a volunteer crew were paged at about 6.10pm.
They were requested to launch their inshore lifeboat and tasked to assist police and local coastguards with the incident to the east of the Belle Tout Lighthouse.
“There will be no further details due to the sensitive nature of the call,” a spokesman said.
