POLICE are appealing for witnesses following two armed robberies.
Officers were called to a robbery near Southgate Avenue in Crawley, near to the junction with Hawth Avenue, shortly after midnight on Friday, April 1.
A short time later, police received reports of a robbery in Hawth Avenue, near to the junction with Furnace Drive.
The victims reported being threatened by a man with a weapon before their mobile phones and other personal items were stolen.
Police said officers will be conducting “high-visibility patrols” in the area as enquiries continue, progressed by the Criminal Investigation Department.
The robberies are believed to have happened between 10.30pm and midnight on Thursday, March 31.
Police are now appealing for witnesses.
Anyone who saw what happened, witnessed any suspicious behaviour in the area, or who may have captured any relevant CCTV or dash cam footage, is asked to get in touch with police online or by calling 101, quoting serial 004 of 01/04.
