THREE people have been arrested as part of a suspected cocaine drugs bust in the city.
Police went to an address in Queensway, near Sutherland Road, Brighton, where they arrested a 64-year-old man in the street on suspicion of possessing cocaine with intent to supply.
They also went to an address in the same street where they arrested a 55-year-old man and a 32-year-old woman on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of cocaine.
A “quantity of suspected drugs” were seized.
The 64-year-old was released on police bail and the two other people were released under investigation.
The incident comes just after another Sussex Police raid last week where £400,000 in cash was seized and 17 arrests were made.
A spokesman for Sussex Police said: “On Monday morning, March 28, officers went to Queensway, Brighton, where they arrested a man aged 64 in the street on suspicion of possessing cocaine with intent to supply.
“They also went to an address in the street where they arrested a man aged 55 and a woman aged 32 on suspicion of being concerned in the supply of cocaine.
“A quantity of suspected drugs was seized.
“After being interviewed the 64-year-old was released on police bail and the two other people were released under investigation.”
