A MAN has been hospitalised following an altercation in a convenience store.
Police were called to a shop on Pevensey Road, Eastbourne, around midday on Saturday, March 26, following an altercation involving a group of people known to each other.
One man suffered injuries to his head and leg and was taken to hospital for treatment. He has since been discharged.
A second man also suffered minor injuries.
A 27-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of wounding with intent and has been released on conditional bail while enquiries continue.
Officers are in contact with those involved in the altercation and say they are satisfied that there is no threat to the wider community.
