POLICE are appealing for witnesses after man was hit in the face with a glass bottle after leaving a nightclub.
Two men were attacked in the Susans Road and Langley Road area of Eastbourne after leaving Cameo nightclub on February 12.
At about 2.30am, the victims began walking to a nearby taxi rank.
On the walk, they were attacked by a group of men.
One of the victims was attacked with a glass bottle, causing serious facial injuries, while the other victim was assaulted by the group.
After the assault, one of the men was taken to Eastbourne District General Hospital where he was treated for a laceration to his face.
Police are appealing for witnesses following the fight.
One of the suspects was wearing a grey top with blue jeans, according to police.
Detective Constable Katherine Tollet-Cooper said: “We would like to reassure members of the public that this was an isolated incident.
“If you were out that night and saw what happened, please get in contact Sussex Police online or call 101, quoting serial number 458 of 13/02.
“Alternatively you can call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.”
