WITH the sunny weather set to last into this weekend, many people will be looking for ways to enjoy the sunshine.
The Met Office says conditions are set to be dry and sunny across Brighton and Hove for the next few days, with temperatures set to reach 17C on Saturday.
But where is the best place to make the most of the sunshine in Brighton and Hove?
We took to the Argus Facebook page to ask our readers where they think the best places enjoy the spring sunshine are – and more than 400 people responded.
So, whether it’s heading down to the beach, or lounging in one of the city's beautiful green spaces, here some are your best suggestions.
It is no surprise that dozens of you said there is no better place to spend a sunny day than catching rays on Brighton beach.
Alan Leach said: “Brighton is amazing on a sunny day. The beach, anywhere beyond the Peace Statue, is a great place to be.”
Fran Jolina Topic said the seafront is the best place to enjoy the sunshine without breaking the bank.
She said: “Brighton beach with a picnic is great and you can do it on a budget.”
If you’re looking for a spot along the seafront to enjoy a drink, Sylvia Coldwell had a great suggestion.
She said: “Brighton Music Hall along the Promenade.”
For some readers, a sunny day is the perfect time for a spot of shopping.
Christopher Michael Wyer said: “I find the North Laine the most beautiful place to visit. So rich in diversity and quirkiness.”
Stanmer Park, Royal Pavilion Gardens and the Level were also popular choices.
Some readers, like Clive Rodgers, had trouble picking just one spot.
He said: “When I was much younger, I could spend my afternoons quite happily in Happy Valley Park, then later at Rottingdean Pool.
“Nowadays, if the beaches are too packed in Hove, I’ll make my way down to the pebbles and drift off, or put a blanket on the grass at St Anne’s Well Gardens or lounge around on the green in Brunswick Square.”
