A 19-YEAR-OLD has been fined for fishing illegally.
Lewis Pearson has been ordered to pay a total of £389 by Brighton magistrates after being caught fishing without a licence by means of a rod and line at Latchetts Lake in Danehill on July 31 last year.
The 19-year-old was found guilty in his absence at court.
Pearson, of Bramber Avenue, Peacehaven, was fined £220.
He will also have to pay £135 in court costs and a surcharge of £34 to fund victim services.
