A SHOPPING centre has been evacuated amid reports of a fire.
Shoppers at The Beacon shopping centre in Eastbourne have been asked to leave the building after a fire alarm was sounded.
One visitor, who was parking at the building, said the building was evacuated.
He said: "I was on my way back from the dentist when the fire alarm began to ring out.
"I was very confused, I didn't know what it was at first."
A spokesman from the shopping centre told The argus the alarm was a "tannoy test"
