PICTURES show armed police attending the scene of an incident.
Armed officers attended the residential address in Maple Gardens, Bognor, following reported threats.
Police negotiated the arrest of a man and while there was no risk to the wider community, police did contain the scene.
Pictures show the officers in the road as they secured the area, as well as multiple police cars and ambulances.

A spokesman said: “We are currently responding to an incident in Maple Gardens, Bognor Regis.
“Negotiations for the arrest of a man are ongoing, and due to reported threats, armed officers have containment of the scene.
“There is no known risk to the wider community at this time.”
Arun police have since confirmed that the man has been arrested and is in custody.
The spokesman added later: “We can confirm the earlier incident in Maple Gardens, Bognor Regis, has since been safely resolved.
“A man has been arrested in connection with the incident and is in custody.
“Thank you for your patience and understanding.”
Police have not issued any further information at this time.
