POLICE have thanked a witness who stayed up until 2am to provide “crucial evidence”.
Officers arrested a suspected drink driver in Horsham in the early hours of Monday, March 7.
A police spokesman said the witness was integral in providing details which may lead to a prosecution.
“A witness today stayed up until 2am to provide us with crucial evidence in relation to a drink driver we have arrested in Horsham,” the spokesman said.
“Their evidence will significantly support the case and the chance of a prosecution and without their generous support it would be all the harder.
“The suspect will remain in custody until sober for interview after blowing well over the limit.
“Every drink driver off the road is a safer road for everyone else, so if you think someone is a drink driver, let us know, we would be very happy to prosecute them.”
