IAN CHISNALL, writing in The Argus, said that a debate was due to take place in Parliament this week under the heading "Transportation between sites in

multi-hospital NHS trusts".

He added that he hoped that Sussex MPs will take part, due to the way this theme impacts our community.

Well, it has certainly impacted one of my sisters who was admitted to the Conquest Hospital in Hastings at the beginning of November and later transported to Crowborough War Memorial Hospital for rehabilitation.

A bit later on it was decided she was not ready for rehab and so she was transported to Eastbourne District General Hospital for further nursing care.

She was then transported back to Crowborough, again for rehab. However, very shortly after she got there, she was transported to Pembury Hospital's

Accident and Emergency Department because she was so unwell.

Following that admission she was then transported back to Eastbourne hospital, from where she was transported to Rye Memorial Hospital which is, as I write, looking to transport her to a nursing home.

Hastings - Crowborough - Eastbourne - Crowborough - Pembury - Eastbourne - Rye. With seven hospital transportations in under four months I think it

would be safe to say that my sister is an expert on the subject of "Transportation between sites in multi-hospital NHS trusts".

It has been an extremely upsetting experience for her, which is hardly surprising considering that my sister Gill is 91 years old.
