POLICE are hunting for an attacker after a train guard was assaulted while on the job.
Dozens of officers were filmed outside Brighton station around 10:51pm yesterday following reports of an assault on a train guard.
The suspected attacker is believed to have left the train at Barnham.
Video taken from the scene shows the scale of the response, with several police vehicles pictured outside the busy station.
A spokesman from the British Transport Police said: "Officers were called to Brighton station at 10:51pm last night following reports a train guard had been assaulted on a service.

"The suspect is believed to have left the train at Barnham. Thankfully the train guard wasn’t seriously injured.
"Enquiries into the incident are ongoing and anyone witnesses who haven’t already spoken to police can contact BTP by texting 61016 or call 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference 630 of 6/3/22."
