A RAGING pensioner has been left flushed with fury after a toilet block was built opposite his seafront home.
James Johnston has been forced to slash £50,000 off the value of his property in The Esplanade Grande, Bognor Regis, because of the eyesore.
The 87-year-old's balcony used to overlook the foreshore office and seashore.
But now James claims no one wants to buy his home after the view was spoiled by the grey and blue beachfront toilet block.
He told The Sun: "It's ridiculous.
"You knew the foreshore office was there, but at least it fits in with everything else.
"The toilets don't match anything. It's a horrible building."
James objected to the block being built along with other residents but his once £400,000 has now been dropped to £350,000.
Estate agent Gail Chisham said: "We just cannot sell it. We had two viewings over the weekend, and they love the flat.
"They love everything about it, it's a luxury apartment. But then they get to the sitting room and say 'I couldn't live here.
"It feels like no matter what the price is, I just don't think we will find a buyer."
Arun District Council, who built the toilets, said people had every chance to stop the loos from being built.
A spokesperson said: "These essential public facilities have been constructed in full compliance with the planning consent granted."
