A WOMAN was injured during an armed robbery at a post office.
Two men arrived at County Oak Post Office in Brighton on a red scooter and entered the store holding knives.
The pair threatened shopworkers and demanded they open the till.
A woman who worked at the store suffered an injury to her hand during a struggle with one of the suspects, according to police.
After being confronted and pursued out of the store, the two men left without taking anything.
The men, who fled on the scooter northbound along Carden Avenue, were both wearing all black jackets, tracksuit bottoms, trainers and helmets.
Police are appealing for witnesses to the armed robbery, which happened shortly after 10.30am on February 24.
Dimple Amin, owner of the post office, told The Argus that she grabbed the knife of one attacker as it was shoved in her face.
She said she was “one hundred per cent scared”.
In CCTV footage of the incident, the two men can be seen parking the red getaway moped outside the store, before entering and threatening staff with blades.
After Dimple stood up to the pair they were chased from the store and a colleague, as she used a footstool as a defence.
The perpetrators are then seen to speed away from the store on the motorbike, along a footpath after the raid at 10.32.
Dimple said: “I didn't want to show that I was scared. Both of them had knives in their hands. One came to me, and one stood to the other side of the counter.
"The guy who was in front of my Post Office, I held his knife because it was straight under my face. Another was inside my counter."
Anybody who witnessed the incident, or has any information which could help with the investigation, is asked to contact police online or by calling 101, quoting serial 387 of 24/02.
Earlier this year, staff at Booker wholesale in East Worthing were left shaken after being held up by two masked men during an armed robbery.
