A TOURIST attraction has shown support for Ukraine by lighting up in their colours amid the war with Russia.
The British Airways i360 was illuminated in yellow and blue on Thursday night in support of the nation, which has been subjected to an ongoing invasion.
In a statement released on social media, a spokeswoman for the landmark said: “Lighting blue and yellow tonight in support of Ukraine and solidarity of Brighton and Hove’s call out to stop the war.”
The act of solidarity came as dozens of people gathered on Brighton seafront to protest the invasion of Ukraine.
Organisers from the group Brighton Together with Ukraine encouraged people to bring banners, flags and candles, which were lit and left on the seafront in a show of solidarity.
A donation point was also be set up at the Palace Pier for people to give much-needed items, including period products, first aid, bandages, powder milk for babies and non-perishable food.
Meanwhile, the Royal Pavilion was also illuminated in yellow and blue in support of Ukraine earlier this week.
he Crown and Anchor Inn in Brighton banned all Russian made products and the Congress Theatre in Eastbourne cancelled two performances of the Russian State Opera.
