A SEX shop has joined forces with an HIV charity.
Customers shopping online at Nice ‘n’ Naughty will be offered a discount code, which will not only benefit them, but also generate a donation to The Sussex Beacon for every purchase made.
The charity provides specialist care and support for people living with HIV in the county.
Anyone making an online purchase via the Nice ‘n’ Naughty website, using the code ‘SUSSEXBEACON’ will receive a ten per cent discount on any purchase made.
At the same time, five per cent of the total purchase will be donated to The Sussex Beacon.
Nice ’n’ Naughty national retail manager Philip Charter-Price said: “Over the years, Nice ‘n’ Naughty has been a keen supporter of The Sussex Beacon.
“Our director has even been seen to run the Brighton Half Marathon to raise funds once or twice, and I didn’t want this connection to such a vital charity to stop when our bricks and mortar store closed.
“We have been a big part of the St James’s Street life for the last 13 years, and long may that support and connection continue."
Nice ‘n’ Naughty was previously based in St James’s Street, Kemp Town.
Bill Puddicombe, executive director of The Sussex Beacon, said: “We have always been grateful to Nice ‘n’ Naughty for their support, and we’re delighted that this is able to continue.
“This fundraising partnership will directly benefit The Sussex Beacon, generating much needed funds, making a real difference to the lives of our patients and clients living with HIV."
The Sussex Beacon promotes independence and aims to improve health and wellbeing via both inpatient and community resources.
Its site in Brighton is equipped with a ten-bed inpatient unit, therapy rooms and larger rooms for group work.
There is also a landscaped garden for patients and visitors to enjoy all year round.
The charity aims to provide high-quality care and support in a friendly and homely environment.
The 32nd annual Brighton Half Marathon, which took place on Sunday, was organised by The Sussex Beacon.
