EMERGENCY services have been dispatched to a major railway line following reports of a trespasser.
First responders have been called to the scene in Moulsecoomb where a person has been seen on the line.
Trains between Brighton and Lewes have stopped after Southern Rail switched off power to the track.
The incident has also caused disruption for people travelling between Brighton and Seaford, and Brighton and Hastings.
A spokesman for Southern Rail said: "We've been advised of a trespasser at Moulsecoomb.
"As a safety precaution, the power to trains has been switched off. Trains cannot run between Brighton and Lewes.
" Emergency services have been dispatched."
