A FORMER Albion star has released a heartfelt message after the sacking of Leeds United manager Marcelo Bielsa.
Ben White, who left Brighton and Hove Albion last year, paid tribute to the recently departed Argentine in a post on social media.
Bielsa was sacked after Saturday's 4-0 defeat to Tottenham.
White, who signed for Arsenal for £50 million in July 2021, shared an image of himself alongside Bielsa after Leeds won promotion to the Premier League in 2019.
Alongside the photo, White, who made 49 appearances for Leeds, put a white love heart as a sign of respect for his former manager.
During his five year spell at Brighton, the defender had loan spells at Newport County, Peterborough United and Leeds United.
At Elland Road, White played in all 46 league games as Leeds were promoted to the Premier League.
He scored his only goal in the last game of his loan spell in a 4–0 victory against Charlton Athletic, which was ultimately voted Goal of the Month for July 2020.
Following the conclusion of his loan, White won the Leeds United’s Young Player of the Season award and was named in the PFA Team of the Year for the 2019–20 Championship.
