THERE are long delays on the A23 following a crash involving two cars.
The road has been partially blocked heading into Brighton from Sayers Common through Patcham.
Two cars were involved in a crash, which happened at around 12.30pm, on the A23 London Road southbound from A273 an A27.
Brighton and Hove Albion's kick-off against Aston Villa has been delayed due to the heavy traffic.
An AA traffic update said drivers can expect delays of between 40 and 45 minutes.
It read: “Partially blocked, long delays and stop-start traffic due to crash, two cars involved on A23 London Road Southbound from A273 to A27.
“Congestion to Sayers Common turn off. Affecting traffic heading into Brighton.
"Also affecting the Saddlecombe Road near Poynings and routes through Hassocks and Ditching.
“Travel time is around 40 to 45 minute.”
