Albion have made Glenn Murray their most expensive signing for 25 years.
The Seagulls have bought the Rochdale striker for £300,000, their biggest outlay since Terry Connor was valued at £500,000 from Leeds in a Swap deal with Andy Ritchie in March 1983.
Murray will make his debut at Northampton on Tuesday.
