A MAN has been fined for driving his Audi while over the legal drinking limit.
Robert Whelan was caught in Wellington Square, Hastings, on October 6, 2020, and found to have 47 milligrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath. The legal limit is 35 milligrammes.
The 39-year-old pleaded guilty and was ordered to pay a total of £757 by Hastings magistrates.
Whelan, of Watermill Drive, St Leonards, was also disqualified from holding a driving licence for 36 months.
He was fined £415 and will have to pay £300 to the Crown Prosecution Service and a £42 surcharge.
