A MAN allegedly flashed at a group of teenage girls before running off.
Police are searching for a man accused of exposing himself and acting indecently towards the group, who were aged 14 and 15, in East Grinstead.
The man shouted at the teenagers before exposing himself and then ran off, according to police.
The incident happened in Moat Road at about 3pm on Monday, February 14.
The man is described as being of Middle Eastern appearance, about 5ft 5in to 6ft and scruffy.
He had long brown shoulder length curly hair and was wearing a maroon jumper and grey cargo type trousers.
Detective Sergeant Mark Miller said police have not received any other similar reports.
“We emphasise that this is a very isolated though concerning incident for the area,” he said.
"There is an extra police presence in the area and anyone with information or particular concerns can speak to any of our officers or PCSOs, but we also ask local people to remain alert, and if you are approached by or see a man acting in a similar manner, please call 999 at once.
"It is important that we find this man.”
