A 16-YEAR-OLD girl has been sentenced for assaulting a police officer.
The girl, who cannot be named for legal reasons, attacked the officer in Castle Square, Brighton, on September 16 last year.
She pleaded guilty to common assault and to wounding another man without intent on the same day.
Brighton Magistrates' Court referred her to Brighton and Hove youth offender panel for a period of 12 months.
She was also issued with an intensive referral order, which includes a doorstep curfew between 9pm and 7am to last for three months.
She was also ordered to pay £22 costs.
